Neo Cricket Club hosted an Iftar event

On Wednesday, March 29th, 2023, Neo Cricket Club hosted an Iftar event at Bricklane in London. The event was attended by several members of the club, including the NCL club captain, Bulbul Kadir, and the club secretary, Mahabub Uzzaman Chisty. The event was coordinated by Din Islam. During the event, captain Bulbul Kadir hosted the meeting, where the team discussed plans for the upcoming season. The captain of the Saturday ECCL team, Nurul Ajad Ripon, spoke about the team's plans for the upcoming season. Other executive committee members and general members attended the meeting, including Khalid Omor, Shaha Riadh, Kishor Kumar, Vishnu Munnangi, Azhar Rabby, Shumon Sharif, Ayaz Karim, Zisan Abedin, Shohag Mollick, Sadman Hossain, and Mohammad Tahmid. The league game is starting from the last weekend of April 2023, and Neo CC's home ground is at Leyton County Ground. The club will run three Saturday XI and two Sunday XI teams this year, along with three junior teams throughout the season. Before the Iftar meal, Javed Hossain led the pre-Iftar Dua. During the event, Hasan Mahmud distributed match day caps sponsored by Paytap among the players.

HEART Claims Management Confirmed as Sponsor for Neo Cricket Club for 2023 Season

Neo Cricket Club has announced that Heart Claims will be their official sponsor for the 2023 season. The sponsorship agreement was confirmed after Heart Claims CEO Imran Hossain attended a formal meeting with the Neo CC managing team at the Indian Aroma restaurant. As part of the agreement, Imran Hossain has also been appointed as the marketing and club development manager for Neo CC. Neo Cricket Club is based in Essex and has been participating in various leagues and competitions since its inception. The indoor Neo Cricket Club under 15 team

The indoor Neo Cricket Club under 15 team took on the Bancroft Lions CC in a thrilling encounter at the Met Essex Indoor Cricket League. The match was a tightly contested affair, with both teams giving it their all to come out on top.

Neo CC won the toss and elected to bat first. They got off to a solid start, with openers Dawud Shahzad and Anas Ammar building a strong partnership. Shahzad remained unbeaten at the end of the innings, scoring a valuable 24 runs, while Ammar contributed 14. Albie and Lara Walcott were the pick of the bowlers for Bancroft Lions CC, taking one wicket each, but Neo CC managed to post a competitive total of 129/5 from their 12 overs.

At the Leyton indoor hub, the Neo Cricket Club players worked on a range of skills, including batting, bowling, fielding, and fitness. The session was intense, and the players were fully focused on their training, knowing that the hard work they put in now will pay off in the summer.

In reply, Bancroft Lions CC got off to a shaky start, losing wickets at regular intervals. Sanaa top-scored for the team with 16 runs, while Albie chipped in with 12 runs. However, their efforts were not enough as they were bowled out for just 76 runs in 8 overs. Shahzad was the standout bowler for Neo CC, taking 3 wickets and leading the team to victory. Mishan, Waref, and Ali khan also took one wicket each.

In the end, Neo CC emerged as deserving winners, triumphing over Bancroft Lions CC by a comprehensive margin of 50 runs. Shahzad was declared the man of the match for his all-round performance, contributing with both bat and ball. It was a great game of cricket, showcasing the talents of some of the best young cricketers in the region.

NCL Plate Indoor final

In an exciting NCL Plate Indoor final, Neo CC took on Pavillion Amez United CC at the indoor cricket stadium on Saturday. After winning the toss, P Amez CC decided to bat bowl first, hoping to restrict Neo CC within low total.

However, the Neo CC batsmen struggled to get going against the disciplined bowling attack of Pavillion Amez United CC. They lost wickets at regular intervals and failed to build any substantial partnerships. Rashdul and Azhar Rabbi both made 19 runs each, but it was Monir's 34 that gave some respectability to the total. Neo CC was bowled out for just 103 in 10 overs. In response, Pavillion Amez United CC started off strongly, with their openers scoring at a brisk pace. However, Ayaz Karim, the Neo CC bowler, struck twice in quick succession to give his team a glimmer of hope. The middle order of Pavillion Amez United CC then consolidated and kept the scoreboard ticking, despite losing a few more wickets.

As the game entered the final over, Pavillion Amez United CC required 3 runs to win with 2 wickets in hand. A three runs off the first ball saw them cross the finish line with 5 balls to spare. They finished on 104/6 from 9.3 overs, winning the match by 2 wickets.

Ayaz Karim was the standout bowler for Neo CC, taking 2 wickets for 21 runs in his 2 overs. He finished the tournament with 11 wickets in 4 games, making him one of the leading bowlers in the NCL Plate Indoor competition.

It was a hard-fought game, but ultimately Pavillion Amez United CC emerged as the winners of the NCL Plate Indoor final, claiming the title for the first time. Neo CC had to settle for the runners-up position, but they can take heart from the fact that they played some good cricket throughout the tournament.

The presentation ceremony was held immediately after the match, with Arfan Akram, the East London Cricket Operations Manager, Nahed Patel, the NCL chairman, and Sajid Patel, the NCL co-founder, in attendance.

The trophies were presented to both teams, with Pavillion Amez United CC lifting the NCL Plate Indoor trophy as the winners, and Neo CC receiving the runners-up trophy. The individual awards were also given out.

The ceremony was a fitting end to a thrilling competition, with both teams and their supporters applauding each other's efforts. The NCL Plate Indoor final was a great advertisement for indoor cricket, and it demonstrated the high level of talent and skill on display in the competition.

In a special addition to the presentation event, the prestigious Cricket World Trophy won by England in the One Day International World Cup 2019 and T20 World Cup 2022 was brought to the venue, and all the players had a chance to take a photo with it.

Neo Cricket Club has started its pre-season training

Essex Indoor Cricket League ended in a tie

The indoor cricket match between Neo Cricket Club and South Loughton CC in the Essex Indoor Cricket League ended in a tie, with both teams scoring 68 runs each.

The match was held at the indoor cricket facility, and the two teams took to the field in front of Senior umpires and match officials. South Loughton CC won the toss and elected to bowl first. Neo CC started off strong, with the opening batsmen scoring briskly and putting pressure on the South Loughton bowlers. However, the South Loughton bowlers regrouped and started to apply pressure, and Neo CC began to lose wickets at regular intervals. Despite some resistance from the lower-order batsmen, Neo CC could only manage to score 68 runs before they were all out.

South Loughton's chase got off to a slow start, with the opening batsmen struggling to score against some tight bowling from Neo CC. However, the middle order batsmen put up a strong fight and brought the scores level. In a nail-biting finish, both teams were tied on 68 runs each, with South Loughton needing just 12 runs off the final over to win. However, some excellent death bowling from Neo CC kept South Loughton in check, and the match ended in a tie.

Both teams can take a lot of positives from this match, as they showed determination and fight until the very end. With the indoor cricket season in full swing, fans can expect more exciting matches and nail-biting finishes in the weeks to come.

October Sunshine and a Friendly game win for Neo CC

Most cricketers may have wrapped up their cricket gears after cricket season closer in September but some passionate cricketers from Neo CC and Bloomsbury Royals CC decided enjoy the winter sunshine.

BRCC won toss and decided to bat first and scored 204/10 from 33 overs with top scores from Jahirul Hiru 53 and Ashik Rana 39.

Salman Ahmed and Shumon Sharif fired through the middle order of BRCC with 3 wickets each. Monir Haque maintained a miraculous economical spell of 4-2-6-0

In reply, Neo CC had a steady start with 16 years old Darshan Patel’s 44 runs innings compiled with 2 huge sixes. Hasan Mahmud (20) and Mahmud Shimul (24) contributed towards the chase before Litu and Raihan took 3 wickets each.

9th wicket fell on 152 then number 11 Azhar Rabby went in to join Neo CC’s Midweek skipper Rashdul Ehasan when club needed 52 to win Rabby (30*) and Rash (15*) secure dramatic finish with a win to finish the season high for Neo CC.

National Cricket League Pro 40 Cup Quarter Final - Darshan Trivedi show and a Neo CC win

National Cricket League Pro 40 cup quarter final qualifier was between Neo CC and East London Titans CC.

Neo CC won the toss and decided to Bat first.

Chisty’s first ball dismissal and Wahidul’s early run out gave a shaky start to Neo CC. Darshan and Zisan shown resistance with the bat and scored 78 runs partnership among them. Darshan Trivedi scored a Magnificent hundred and finished his innings on 115 runs.

Sajedul Islam scored a tornado innings of 54 from 41 deliveries and took 3 wickets with the ball. Neo CC scored 271/9 from 40 overs.

EL Titans had a good start with the bat but Neo CC bowlers took charge of the game by taking few quick wickets. Rafiur Rahman was the stand out performer with the bat for Titans who remained not out with 91 runs from 86 balls which includes 13 fours and 5 sixes.

From Last two overs EL Titans needed 9 to win. Zisan came to bowl then he only gave 1 run and did run out assisted by Sajedul. From Last over ELT CC needed 8 runs to win.

Din Islam’s Ton took Neo CC to Top of the League table

Neo CC 3rd XI beat Bow Green CC by 9 wickets in their league game of Essex County Cricket League. Bow Green won the toss and decided Bat first at their Home. Scored a moderate total of 230 runs. Anwarul, Din, Tahmid and Chisty took 2 wickets each for Neo CC.

Neo CC Chased the target score of 230 in 29.3 overs. Din Islam scored a brilliant 109 with 16 fours and a huge six. Shaha Riadh (39) and Irteza Sakib (36) also chipped in with the bat to give a decent company to Din Islam.
